Target Audience

Lecture : Question Type Lecture

Each class will have a specific lecture based on the following question types

Following the lecture, students will solve problem sets related to each question type

• Evidence Support
• Vocabulary in Context
• Main Idea
• Detail
• Passage Type
• Lecture

In addition, students will learn specific strategies and key concepts for each of the following passage types

• Narratives
• History and Founding Documents
• Animal and Plant Behavior
• Social Sciences
• Natural Sciences

Students will go over general themes, test taking strategies and overall concepts that they need to understand to solve each of the different types of reading passages.

Students will learn strategies covering time management, process of elimination, test answer patterns and methods to improve scores and overall reading comprehension.

In Class Reading Test

• Reading Section (2 passages, 25 min)
• Each in class reading section will focus on a passage type from the class’s lecture.
• Passages will be edited and adjusted to focus on applying strategies and evidence based strategies
• Each section will be graded and scored in class, followed by review and question analysis

Non-Fiction Reading

• Students will reading approximately 30 pages per class from the listed texts below.
• Students will be expected to read, annotate, and discuss the materials in class.

Writing Section

• Students will solve 1 section of a writing exam (20 min, 22 questions)
• After solving the exam, questions will be reviewed and grammar terms taught.

Homework

Non-Fiction Reading

• Students will read a chapter from a non-fiction book and answer discussion questions the following week in class.

Vocabulary

• students will memorize vocabulary and take a vocab quiz

강의에 이어 학생들은 각 질문 유형과 관련된 문제 세트를 해결하게 됩니다.

패시지 유형 강의

또한 학생들은 다음 각 구절 유형에 대한 구체적인 전략과 주요 개념을 배우게 됩니다.

• 서술(기법)
• 역사 및 설립 문서
• 동식물 행동
• 사회과학
• 자연과학

학생들은 일반적인 주제, 시험 응시 전략 및 각 유형의 리딩 패시지를 해결하기 위해 이해해야 하는 전반적인 개념을 검토합니다.

학생들은 시간 관리, 오답 제거, 시험 답안 패턴 및 점수 및 전체적인 독해력 향상을 위한 방법을 다루는 전략을 배우게 됩니다.

수업내 reading test

• 리딩 섹션 (2개 패시지, 25분)
• 각 수업내 리딩 부분은 강의의 구절 유형에 초점을 맞췄습니다.
• 전략 및 증거 기반 전략을 적용하는 데 중점을 두도록 구절을 편집 및 조정했습니다.
• 각 섹션은 수업중에 점수가 매겨지며, 검토 및 질문 분석을 합니다.

논픽션 reading

• 학생은 아래 나열된 텍스트에서 수업당 약 30페이지를 읽습니다.
• 학생들은 수업 시간에 자료를 읽고, 주석을 달고, 토론해야 합니다.

writing 섹션

• 학생이 writing 시험의 1개 섹션(20분, 22문제)을 풉니다.
• 시험 풀이 후 문제 검토 및 문법 용어를 학습합니다.

숙제

논픽션 리딩

• 학생들은 논픽션 책에서 한 단언을 읽고 다음 주 수업에서 토론 질문에 답합니다.

단어

• 학생들은 필수 단어을 외우고 단어 시험을 봅니다.
